(BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON – June 21, 2022) Shepherd Aero Global Flight Support, the leader in in-aircraft pilot training, filed an application with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to add the PC-24 Pilatus Jet course to their FAA Approved Flight School courses. The Pilatus PC-24 jet is the newest jet in a growing portfolio of aircraft that Shepherd Aero offers training in.
“We’ve learned from our experience on the HondaJet, Embraer Phenom, and Citation products how to provide the best in class training for our pilots,” said Shepherd Aero Director of Training Rod Kellogg. “We are excited to add the Pilatus PC-24 to our training services and look forward to improving access to training and improving the safety of the pilots that fly the aircraft.”
In addition to the Pilatus PC-24, Shepherd Aero has earned certification from the Federal Aviation Administration as an FAA Part 141 Flight School for the HondaJet (FAA Certificate # 443S060Q). Offerings also include Part 61 training to meet a wide range of operator requirements for other turbine aircraft to include Embraer Phenom 100 and 300, Citation 525-Series and Citation 510 Mustang. Shepherd Aero specializes in the unique operational challenges of single-pilot jet operations.
“The Pilatus PC-24 competes with the Phenom 300 and CJ3+/CJ4, and fits perfectly in our core competencies,” said Travis Holland, President of Shepherd Aero. “With its addition, it is a great opportunity to establish market leadership in training on a specific type of aircraft like what we have done with HondaJet over the recent years.”
